I remeber when old Mustangs and Jaguars were CHEAP AS HELL as were Hi Fliers because they were very undesirable guitars. They werent well made, had terrible tuners, noisy pickups, wouldnt stay in tune for a 3 minute song, had bad frets ... Just werent well made. And the Hi Fliers were Mosrite copies in body style only...totally different pickups and bridges (mosrites are beautiful instruments). Then the 90s happened and nowdays an original Mustang, which could be had for $100 in a pawn shop pre Nirvana, Sonic Youth ect now cost thousands.

I love how Fox says he gets a decent sound out of a 76 by changing resistor. I've got one. I've had it for about 15 years now. I got it at a guitar show for a steel. And I'll tell you what, it's one of my favorite fuzz faces. I've had the analog man. I've had full tone. I've never done the Dunlop reissues And personally, this is the one I like the best. It has a fairly decent cleanup. And if you crank it and crank the amp, it's definitely Got that JH at Woodstock feel. I'm sure someone will tell me I have no idea what I'm talking about. But who knows, after 50 years, the values drift, and maybe it's stumbled into. the proper space needs to be, but it sure sounds good. Its flaw it needs to be turned up really loud. Unless you want Dark fuzz sound.

So weird for a guy who obviously loves Fender and Gibson and yet he doesn't own many, at least right now because most of your collection seems based on those great companies! I am a Fender guy and I have 4 Fenders, one Gibson Les Paul jr and a Epiphone Inspired by Gibson cherry 335! I admit Gibson prices are just ridiculous but Fender's are more affordable. I have two strats from the Vintera lines and they are great guitars!!

Ramon I must ask you a question. I love your guitar history series, I truly believe it's better than Five Watt Worlds Short history. I must propose the question, would you PLEASE consider doing a guitar history of Terry Kath from Chicago? He was a very great guitarist and soulful singer and has a interesting guitar history. As a fan it kills me nobody has gave him any recognition or talked about his guitars. When I asked Five Watt World, he said nobody would watch it. But I believe he is wrong. Anyway, sorry for the rambling. Thank you for your time and response.

Gibson did a good job with their Greeny pickups, which my Epiphone Greeny has (got it used, well work $1K+). It has that sound, even if I can't play like Peter or Goose, I can get that sound. It isn't just flipping the magnet, but that does get you on your way....... Thank you for appreciating Mr. Greenbaum as much as I do, and your playing is up there among my favorites too Goose, you doing Greeny is wonderful to hear here!!

The Mick Taylor years were easily the best. They were at their most creative and produced their greatest albums. Goat's Head Soup is awesome. Every single track on the L.P is brilliant.

The guitar at 3:07 is a LP jr that was owned by the roadie for Quiet Riot Harold. Harold also owns that one brown strat that Randy is playing during time in the studio. The picture was taken by Ron Sobol and is featured in Ron's book Randy Rhoads The Quiet Riot Years.

I believe the guitarist for the group Ambrosia "That's How Much I Feel" played a carved Firebird in the shape of a horse.
